Clutch-Dry Single Disc.

In the HPV class all drivers have the same clutch, pipe and header. This class shows the ability of the driver and equipment. The motor is ver low maintenance. The speeds that a HPV motor can reach depends on the gearing and the size of the track you are racing on, top speed in the adult class would be approximately 80MPH!

The Rotex is a unique motor because it's sealed. You are allowed to change the jets and spark plugs...adjust the power valve and change the gearing. The only people that can work internally on this motor are a licensed technician. Everyone in this class has the same motor package.

The only thing that separates the competitors would be the chassis and the racers ability to drive. This class would not be recommended to someone that is new to karting. It would be best for someone new to start out in a slower class and learn to be a good driver...then move up to a faster class. The Rotex can reach speeds in excess of 100MPH!! With the guidelines that are placed on the Rotex Max series it makes for a very competitive class!
